PLANS for a Lidl supermarket in Ringwood will be mooted at a consultation event at the Activity Centre at Greyfriars Community Centre.
The budget supermarket is being planned for Forest Gate Business Park on Christchurch Road on the former Wellworthy’s site.
A planning application has not yet been submitted, although Lidl has bought the site.
A Lidl spokesman said: “If planning permission is granted Ringwood residents will be able to benefit from a modern neighbourhood discount foodstore, enhanced choice and competition, and prices up to 30 per cent lower than the local Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Co-Ops.”
The two storey building would be over 2,432m sq and have 115 car parking spaces, including seven for disabled parking and three for people with children.
The consultation event will be held on Friday from 10am to 6pm.
