THE 24-year-old driver of this car only walked away from the mangled wreckage with minor injuries.
The Toyota Corolla left the A336 Southampton Road at Cadnam on Friday night at about 7.45pm before smashing into a garden wall of a house near the Coach and Horses pub.
Having completely demolished the wall, the car came to rest in the middle of the road.
With the car badly damaged back and front, police on the scene were amazed the driver was only slightly hurt.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance said the injuries were so slight he only required treatment at the scene and did not have to be taken to hospital.
No arrests have been made. The road was blocked but remained open with police directing traffic until the vehicle was recovered at 9.20pm.
