A WOMEN’S-ONLY cycling event is switching up a gear this September, returning to the New Forest with new longer 100km and 150km rides.
Macmillan Cycletta 2015 is taking place in six different locations across the country and aims to encourage women to take up cycling for fitness and fun, while raising funds for the charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
The popular cycle ride will return to Beaulieu on Sunday, September 20, starting at Beaulieu Palace House.
Track cyclist, Victoria Pendleton, pictured, has supported the event every year. She said: “I want to inspire women to join me and cycle; as a hobby, a sport, a way to get fit and healthy or a way to escape.”
