A road was closed following a fatal accident this morning.
A grey Peugeot RCZ went off the road and smashed into a tree at the junction of Buckler's Hard Road and Gins Lane just after 10am.
A Hampshire Police spokesman said firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
He added that Buckler's Hard Road was closed between its junctions with Lodge Lane and Sowley Lane.
The sole occupant of the car, a 65-year-old man from Dibden Purlieu, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances of the collision are being investigated, no-one else was hurt.
