THERE is still a chance to join hundreds of runners for the Autism Wessex 10k charity run at the beautiful Somerley Estate on Sunday.
It has been a bumper year for the popular event near Ringwood, with 640 runners already signed up and at least 100 more expected to register on the day, said community and events fundraiser Becky Chalk.
“It’s a really beautiful run – you go past the river and the house – it’s just lovely. We have a lot of serious runners taking part as it’s timed, as well as the regular runners, and we have a fun run as well and a lot of families take part in that. It’s key fundraiser for us,” she added.
The event starts at 11am. Registration for the 10k is £15 on the day, or £5 to register for the 2k fun run.
