A WOMAN was arrested today by detectives investigating the murder of Pennie Davis in the New Forest.
The 28-year-old, from Hythe, was arrested this morning and is currently being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
Also this morning, magistrates granted Dorset Police permission to detain in custody a 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder for a further 36 hours as the investigation continues.
Pennie, a 47-year-old mum of five from Blackfield, left work and drove in her dark green Toyota Land Cruiser to the field by Leygreen Farm near Beaulieu where she was found later that afternoon. She suffered multiple stab wounds.
Police are asking people with information about the murder to contact them in confidence.
In particular, they would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of Pennie’s work at Sainsbury’s in Hampton Lane, Blackfield, between 1.30-3pm on Tuesday, September 2.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Operation Biscotti investigation team in confidence on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
