THOUSANDS are expected to enjoy a last hurrah at the New Forest Show as it ends today.

Blazing sunshine and a wide range of attractions resulted in another bumper crowd on the first two days.

The show is being held at New Park, Brockenhurst, which is currently home to hundreds of marquees and stands showcasing many of the businesses and voluntary organisations based in the New Forest area.

Bournemouth Echo:

An exhibition of photographs by Sally Fear provides visitors with a wealth of information about the 7,000 animals that roam the district.

Farm machinery old and new is also proving a big hit with visitors to the show.

Spectators can inspect a nostalgic collection of old fashioned tractors made decades ago, plus some of the hi-tech equipment used by farmers today.

Exhibits include a 1937 Fordson tractor that owner Eric Coats is displaying in memory of James Spark.

Bournemouth Echo:

Mr Sparks, who died in May, helped restore the 77-year-old vehicle after it was found in a garage at Shootash, near Romsey, in 1995.

Nearby is a David Brown Taskmaster, one of six supplied to the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough.

In the 1970s it was bought by the late Jim Espin and used during the construction of Popham Air Centre.

Pete and Vicky Clease, of Winsor, are displaying a 1958 tractor that is thought to have spent most of its working life in Forest.
