A GOLF club is enjoying a double celebration after scooping a national award and raising thousands for a children's adoption charity.
Dudsbury Golf Club, Hotel and Spa, based in Ferndown, won the prestigious Golf Club of the Year prize at the 2017 Club Mirror Awards, which were held at Doncaster Racecourse last month.
The national award has previously gone to notable courses from around the country such as Wentworth Golf Club.
Judges consider the course condition, facilities and customer service provided, which Dudsbury was judged to have excelled at.
Back at the East Dorset club, 2017 seniors captain Allan Winter had the honour of presenting a cheque to specialist children's adoption service Families for Children.
Fundraising efforts by the club allowed them to donate £6,397 to the charity.
