'ABUSIVE' doorstop sellers are visiting addresses in East Dorset and Bournemouth, police have warned.
Officers have called for residents not to buy items from those who sell door to door after the incidents.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "The reports we have recently received have been that, in a small number of cases, doorstep sellers have become abusive when people refused to buy from them.
"If a doorstep seller becomes aggressive, contact police giving as much detail as you can, including descriptions and vehicle registration numbers if possible."
All doorstep sellers should hold a pedlar's certificate.
