RESIDENTS in Ferndown are celebrating after winning the chance to go on their dream holiday.

Fourteen residents from Pinehurst Park each scooped a £5,000 holiday voucher and £2,000 cash to spend on their travels after winning the People’s Postcode Lottery.

All the residents share the same lucky postcode BH22 0BS.

Las Vegas, Canada, Spain, Brazil, Japan and Singapore are just some of the destinations the winners are hoping to visit.

Pauline Harris,77, who was the only winner to play with two tickets, will receive £10,000 in holiday vouchers and £4,000 in spending money.

Pauline said: “Two years ago was my last holiday with my husband Michael. We go to places where we can take our Shih Tzu dog, called Brandy, with us.

“We are members of the National Trust and there are some lovely places nearby where we can go. We’ll probably book a nice holiday cottage with our voucher.”

Jean Fray, 89, and her son Gary Cole, 48, both play the lottery and will each get the dream holiday prize.

Jean wants to go on a cruise while Gary says he’d like to take his sister and brother-in-law to Las Vegas.

Sandra Druce, 69, said: “I’ve got three horses and it’s always been my dream to go on a riding holiday through the Canadian Rockies. This really is a smashing prize and I can’t wait to go on holiday now.”

Claire Tomkin, 63, is desperate to visit her sons who both live abroad.

She said: “I don’t get to see them very often. One of them lives in Brazil and the other one is in Singapore, but now I can afford to visit them both. This is just great.”

Janet Dykstra, 56, originally from Canada, only signed up to play a month ago.

She said: “This was my very first draw and now I’ve got this amazing prize. I really like Florida so I’ll be going back there for sure.”

Danyl Johnson, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, said: “It’s been fantastic to present all 14 winners with their dream holiday prize. It seems like we’re sending the whole street away on holiday. “Everyone has got exciting plans for the year ahead and I’m so happy for them.”
