DETAILS for this years’ Remembrance Day commemorations in Ferndown have been released.
The Remembrance programme commences with the Poppy Appeal Launch at 10am in the town centre precinct on October 28.
Various other events are being held in the area until Remembrance Sunday on November 12, when numerous church services will be held in Ferndown and surrounding areas to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
Grant Parrott, chairman for Ferndown’s Royal British Legion, said: “Remembrance Day parades and services around Ferndown seem to grow bigger and better-supported every year with churches full and outdoor services experiencing record crowds as people of all ages take the time to commemorate and remember the sacrifices made to let us live our lives today.”
Full details and timings can be found in the programme online at branches.britishlegion.org.uk/branches/ferndown/news-events.
