Vdub at the Pub Festival is now celebrating its 9th year, having grown from its humble beginnings in 2008 as a day event at local pub Drusilla’s Inn, to the eclectic, full weekend of festival entertainment it is today.

Originally only intended to be a one day Volkswagen meet with a few bands playing “at the pub”, Vdub at the Pub Festival grew out of the confines of the pub by its second year, now residing in its third showground in 9 years, in a picturesque riverside location next to Julian’s Bridge in Wimborne.

For 2017, Vdub at the Pub will be going vintage, collaborating with Dorset Goes Vintage to provide a vintage cycle ride around the beautiful town of Wimborne as well as a vintage music stage at the festival and vintage trade village.

With an array of activities on offer at this year’s Vdub at the Pub Festival, including stand up paddle boarding and kayaking down the River Stour, which neighbours the festival site. Land based entertainment including Dodgeball, Welly Wanging and a Tug-of-War tournament.

Children’s entertainment includes Go Karting, Skate Ramp, inflatables, Zorbing Arena, Surf Simulator, free sandpit area and much more.

With 3 live music stages, this year’s Vdub at the Pub will host a full weekend of live music, with a dedicated vintage stage, plus main stage showcasing the best in south coast talent.

Sunday’s will host the festivals Show and Shine competition, with Volkswagens old and new being showcased in 16 categories.

Festival goers can enjoy an eclectic range of trade stalls, autojumble area, a brand new glamping area, a vast choice in street food and an array of local ales, ciders, spirits and wines at the ‘pub’ bar.
