A FIRE in a Ferndown skatepark was started deliberately by adults, firefighters say.
Crews were called to extinguish a fire in the park in Cherry Grove on Sunday night.
A spokesperson from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said a crew from Ferndown tackled a fire involving rubbish shortly before 8.35pm.
Yesterday, a firefighter from the East Dorset station said: "Sadly, this fire in the skatepark was deliberate.
"It was started by a group of adults.
"The details of their car have been passed onto the police."
In April, arsonists started a fire on heathland near the skatepark.
Four fire engines, four Land Rovers and the Unimog all-terrain vehicle were sent out to the blaze on land off Cherry Grove.
The blaze covered 400 square metres of heathland at Ferndown Common.
