DAVID Cameron knows something about how to 'chillax'.

And the former prime minister has picked the perfect place to do it - a shepherd's hut in the grounds of his family home.

But this isn't just any old outbuilding. Instead, the £25,000 cabin, which Mr Cameron hopes to use as a writing den, features hardwood stable doors, an arched roof and metal wheels, as well a colour scheme hand-picked by Samantha Cameron from Wimborne company Farrow & Ball.

The exterior is painted in Mouse's Back, with Clunch and Old White inside.

The wheels, steps and roof are painted black.

Mr and Mrs Cameron decided on a hut after both admiring one which had been owned by Mr Cameron's mother-in-law in Scotland.

In a blog posted on the hut-maker's website, Mr Cameron says: "I should say here that Samantha makes all the design decisions in this family. As ever she has made a very good choice."

Paul Bennett, founder of Red Sky Shepherds Huts, launched his company thanks to one of Mr Cameron's policies.

The policy allows people to free up money in their pension at 55.
