A YOUNG actor from Ringwood is set to star in a new film.

Hattie Gotobed, 14, has already appeared in hit series Game of Thrones, acted alongside Brad Pitt and featured in five movies.

Now the teenager is due to appear in a new film by Southampton video artist James Paddock.

The film, Shells, will see Hattie performing as a young woman who debates the meaning of life with an older man, played by Dean Kilbey.

It will also aim to address the social stigma around mental health.

James said: “Hattie was absolutely fantastic to work with.

"She knew exactly what to do and she’s such a natural. It just became part of her.”

Shells was awarded a grant of more than £18,000 from Arts Council England.

The organisation's south west director Phil Gibby said: “We’re very pleased to be supporting Shells through our National Lottery funded grants for the arts programme, a project that will explore new ways of presenting often little-discussed fundamental issues.”
