AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a 19-year-old man found dead after a night out with friends.
Matthew Lusted, from Verwood, was found in his garage at home by his father, Colin, on Saturday, March 11.
At a hearing at Bournemouth Coroner’s Court yesterday, Dorset Coroner Rachael Griffin heard how the garage had been secured from the inside. When Colin found Matthew, he tried to resuscitate him before the arrival of paramedics.
On their arrival, the paramedics continued CPR but were unable to revive him.
Two police officers attended and identified Matthew’s body while Colin was present.
The court also heard that Dorset Police, following an investigation, were satisfied the teenager’s death was not suspicious and no third parties were involved.
Popular in his community, Matthew’s friends, family and colleagues raised over £3,500 towards the cost of his funeral recently.
The inquest was adjourned until June 21.
