CONGESTED: Wimborne Road in Kinson during rush hour
MOTORISTS are facing congestion after part of New Road in West Parley was closed yesterday morning for three weeks’ worth of road repairs.
The road closure is in place both ways on the A347 between Christchurch Road (Parley Cross) and Kinson Park Road until March 22, and a diversion route is directing traffic via Christchurch Road to Longham.
Dorset County Council has employed specialists, Stabilised Pavements Ltd to resurface the damaged road and resolve drainage issues.
Maintenance work on Ensbury Bridge will also be carried out during the closure.
All businesses at Parley Cross will be open and accessible from the crossroads and there will be full pedestrian access.
