IN ‘THE Last Word’ on June 8 many of the people were complaining about the build-up of traffic, with queues, pollution and chaos. Also about the number of trees cut down.

The basic problem is the almost uncontrolled building of residential properties, mostly in the countryside.

This is not only detrimental to health but causes chaos on the roads, in GP surgeries, schools, hospitals and probably the sewage works.

Along with this effect on humans, there is also the serious loss of wildlife.

I read that East Dorset is to be ‘urbanised’, is this some mad scheme to compete with Bournemouth and Poole?
