DISCOUNT chain store Poundstretcher is set to open at Saxon Square in Christchurch this weekend.
Poundstretcher will fill the empty unit left by food store Budgens, which closed earlier this year after the company went into administration.
The new store, which opens on Saturday, will also house The Pet Hut - a discount pet store bringing everything from pet beds, treats and brushes.
A spokesman for Saxon Square said: "Poundstretcher will bring something entirely different to Saxon Square, complimenting the current tenant mix and offering a new experience for the shoppers.
"Positioned in the heart of the community, the store has recruited 15 new members of staff from the local area to be part of the Poundstretcher and Pet Hut team."
