THOUSANDS lined Christchurch town centre yesterday to get a glimpse of some of the motoring world's most expensive machines.

The Christchurch Super Car Show returned after a successful showing two years ago and crowds were not left disappointed.

After travelling to the High Street in convoy from Highcliffe in the morning, the selection of powerful cars were spread in and around Saxon Square through to late-afternoon.

Highlights at the event included a McLaren Formula 1 show car, a Ferrari Enzo and a classic Ferrari 275 GTB from the 1960s.

Alongside the vehicles, visitors were able to browse a selection of trade stalls set up in the town, alongside activities for all the family.

The show was organised by the Churchill Foundation - the charitable arm of Ringwood housebuilder Churchill Retirement Living,

Money raised from the event was donated to Walking with the Wounded, which helps support armed forces veterans.
