A BODY found in a stream in Christchurch is believed to be that of a missing man.
Two police cars and a 4x4 ambulance were at Mill Stream, near Saxon Square car park, this afternoon.
They were made aware a body had been found just after 1pm.
The body is believed to be that of missing Steve Grey, who is 51 and from Sark in the Channel Islands.
He had travelled from Guernsey to Poole on a planned trip on March 27, 2017. Since then, he had been staying in hotels but not been seen or heard from since Saturday, April 8.
Officers cordoned off the footpath which leads to woodland behind the car park.
Forensics officers and Dorset Police's marine section were later called to the scene.
The coroner has been informed but formal identification has not yet taken place.
