EMERGENCY Services were called to a crash between a car and a cyclist.
The collision took place around 10.25am on Saturday on the B3073 Fairmile Road in Christchurch.
It involved a black Mitsubishi, registered to a man from Salisbury, and a cyclist.
Fairmile Road was closed from the junction with Stour Road and Portfield Road while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A Dorset Police spokesman said traffic was building and advised motorists to avoid the area.
A spokesman from South Western Ambulance Service said a female casualty had been taken to Poole Hospital with a head injury.
