A crew of firefighters used hand tools to release a 16-year-old boy who had become stuck in a swing in Seafields Gardens just after 10.20am yesterday morning.
Eren Guldete, 16, from Winton, said that he was playing on the swings with his girlfriend, Nadine Davies, when he realised that he had become stuck.
Eren said: “I thought ‘Why not live out my childhood?’ but then I tried to get out and I couldn’t. We tried for an hour for me to get out of it, before we realised that we were going to have to ring the fire service.”
He said that once firefighters arrived at the park, they had a laugh at Eren, before working to cut him free from the play equipment.
“It took them a good half an hour to cut me out of it. One of them asked me if I will go to parks again and I said that it is has put me off kids parks.”
