TWO weeks of urgent electricity work will take place on a busy road in Christchurch from Monday.
Southern Electric say swift repairs are needed after a mains fault on a 33kV cable, with work starting near Avon Buildings in Bargates.
It will affect traffic on the B3073, with temporary traffic lights in use 24 hours a day.
The lights will be manually controlled daily between 7am and 7pm including weekends to minimise delays, although some disruption is still likely.
A statement on Travel Dorset's website said: "The cable is one of two supplying electricity to Christchurch including, Somerford, Highcliffe, New Milton and the Southbourne areas so a swift repair is essential."
