THE King of the Waltz Andre Rieu is back on screen next week from Maastricht at the Regent Centre in Christchurch.

Even better the management have just heard that the venue has been ranked number one cinema in the UK & Ireland for the biggest attendance at the screenings of Andre Rieu’s 2015 Maastricht Concert.

This means that the Regent Centre was the most popular cinema out of 600 cinemas across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, which took part in the 2015 screenings.

Regent Centre Deputy Manager, Felicity Crabb, who books in the special event cinema and live satellite broadcasts at the Centre told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: “I am absolutely delighted that all of our hard work in presenting the very best arts events from around the world on screen at the Regent has been so successful. All of our volunteers and staff at the Regent can share in this success and I would like to thank our loyal audience in Christchurch for all of their support. I am determined to ensure that we are still the number one Andre Rieu cinema in 2016!”

Andre Rieu returns to the big screen at the Regent in Christchurch for screenings of his 2016 Maastricht Concert on Saturday, July 23 at 7pm, Sunday, July 24 at 3pm and Wednesday, August 10 at 2pm and 7pm.

Commenting on this year’s event, André Rieu said: “Every year we find ways to make my hometown concerts a unique experience for our audiences in the square, as well as those who watch us in the cinemas. We put a lot of time, energy and love into creating some Maastricht magic.”
