POLICE joined forces with an RSPCA inspector and a vet to remove animals from a property in Sopley on Thursday morning.
Five dogs, four cats and a parrot were removed from the Ringwood Road home by police officers at 9am and placed into RSPCA care.
A spokesman for the RSPCA said the charity is unable to provide any further information because it is an "ongoing incident."
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said their involvement was in a support role and that they are no longer involved with the case.
One resident, who asked not to be named, said police vans blocked the lane - another access route to Moorlands College - while RSPCA officials entered the premises.
She said: "They closed the lane off blocking it off with their vans and wearing their forensic suits. The homeowner was reported for having animals that she wasn't taking care of."
