KEEN runners and fitness fans took part in the Bransgore Rotary annual fun run on Sunday.

The event included a 5k and 10k route with entrants aged nine and upwards raising money for their chosen charities.

As well as the two main races, Jack and Jill nursery also had a race for the under fives.

The event started at 10.30am from Bransgore recreation ground, with the routes making their way through Neacroft and Waterditch.

Bransgore Pirates and New Forest runners supported the event, with the men's 10km won by New Forest Runners' Connor Lopez and the ladies race by Hannah Froud from the same club.

Brian Long won the 5km men's race and Caroline Woodford won the ladies.

Luke Linney won the boys 5km race and Madison John won the girls.

Organisers Martin Bowles said more than £1,000 was raised for a variety of charities.
