POLICE arrested four people in connection with burglaries in Highcliffe.

The four people were arrested last month in connection with incidents in the Hinton Wood Avenue area of the village and bailed to a later date while enquiries continue.

The Daily Echo reported in April that properties in Highcliffe had been targeted by thieves who smashed their way into homes through conservatory windows.

High-value items including jewellery were taken, with three burglaries reported in the area over four days.

Extra police patrols were put on in a bid to deter any further incidents and signs put up warning residents to take extra security measures.

Police have reminded residents to remain vigilant at all times and look out for neighbours, family and friends. Any suspicious activity should be reported to Dorset Police via the 101 service, or if you believe a crime is being committed use the 999 service.
