A CABARET-style performance of music, dance and comedy is being performed in Highcliffe later this summer.

The Highcliffe Charity Players will be presenting You Gotta Laugh at St Mark's Hall in Hinton Wood Avenue from Wednesday, July 27 to Saturday, July 30.

It will feature a series of song and dance medleys with both old favourites and new numbers including Reach Out by the Four Tops, New York New York by Frank Sinatra and Revolting Children from the hit show, Matilda. Sketches have been drawn from a variety of material including Dave Allen, The Two Ronnies, Rowan Atkinson and Saturday Night Live.

Georgina Smith, chairman of the Highcliffe Charity Players, said: "Our revues remain a firm favourite with our regular audiences and give us the opportunity to show off the varied talents of the Players in an intimate venue."

She added that they hope their president, Guy Henry, who stars in BBC's Holby City, will be able to make it along. "He is a staunch and enthusiastic supporter of all that we do.”

A bar will be open for people to purchase drinks and audience members are invited to bring a picnic for the supper interval.

Tickets cost £12.50 per person with profits going to local charities and good causes. They available by going to Regentcentre.co.uk or call the Regent Centre box office on 01202 499199.
