YES legend Rick Wakeman has announced he will visit Christchurch in June for a night of “music and the anecdotal wit of an old age pensioner!”

The rock giant, Grumpy Old Man and all round entertainer will return to the Regent on Wednesday, June 22 at 8pm for his third concert at the centre following his sell-out successes in 2011 and 2014.

Rick is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Music, Professor of the London College of Music, former Yes keyboard player, Watchdog presenter and renowned for his grumpy take on life in general.

Rick Wakeman has led a rich and varied life.

In his one-man solo show, he recounts hilarious and unlikely anecdotes from a career which has included musical collaborations with David Bowie, Cat Stevens and Elton John, as well as worldwide tours with his own bands, punctuated by displays of dazzling virtuosity on the piano.

Come along and find out why life is never dull for Rick or those around him.

Rick will be unplugged with his trademark grand piano in between his humorous stories.
