The family of a missing Christchurch woman not seen for two weeks have appealed to the public to help find her.

Isobel Munro, who is 41-years-old, was last seen by her mother on Monday 11 April 2016 when she left her home address in Latimers Close in a taxi.

She was reported missing on Monday 18 April.

Isobel has learning difficulties and is profoundly deaf so wears a hearing aid and lip reads.

She is described as white, five feet six inches tall and of medium build. She wears glasses and has mousey brown curly hair in the style of a bob.

Isobel’s family said: “Your brother and mum are very worried. We just need to know you are ok. Please contact your brother or the police.”

Detective Sergeant Ross Brown, of Dorset Police, said: “Until her disappearance, Isobel was caring for her mother and she has not been in contact with any of her family since.

“Some years ago Isobel also went missing and at that time she travelled through the country on public transport. There is a chance that she may have done something similar this time.

"Therefore we would urge anyone who has seen Isobel or a woman matching her description, even if it was outside Dorset, to please get in touch with police.

“If Isobel sees this appeal, I would urge her to please get in contact. Your family just wants to know you are safe.”

Anyone with information about Isobel’s whereabouts should call Dorset Police or their local force on 101. Dorset Police’s incident number is 18:296.
