RAIDERS stole thousands of pounds worth of goods in a burglary at a Christchurch pet shop.

Offenders broke in to a steel container at the back of Pets at Home in Bailey Drive and fled with items including fish tanks, kennels, rabbit hutches and vivariums.

The burglary took place between 4pm on Wednesday December 30 and 3pm the following day and police in Christchurch have appealed for information from the public.

Police Constable Paul Craig, of Christchurch police, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the relevant times by calling me on 101.

"I am also particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have been offered any of the items taken in suspicious circumstances."

Two men, aged 19 and 26, and a 22-year-old woman, all from the Bournemouth area, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and are currently helping police with their inquiries.
