A SPECIALIST bike with a street value of £1,000 has been stolen from the Aviation Business Park.

The high-value bike was secured with locks at Honeywell Aerospace in Enterprise Way on Aviation Park West.

The suspect was seen to use bolt croppers to cut the bike free, before riding it away around 2.30pm on Wednesday, October 21.

It is described as a Specialized Roubaix which values between £900 and £1,400.

Police have issued a CCTV image of the suspect who was wearing a grey body warmer with the hood up, a long sleeved grey top, grey tracksuit trousers with the Adidas logo on them and dark coloured trainers.

He was wearing black gloves and had a mask covering his face.

PC Matt Brennan, of Christchurch police, said: “As part of my investigation I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises this man from the clothing he was wearing to please call Dorset Police on 101.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who has been offered a similar bike for sale to please contact me.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.

“I would like to remind cyclists to ensure they secure their bikes with good locks and chains and note the serial number.”
