A MAN has admitted a series of offences in connection with an incident near a Highcliffe primary school.

Kevin Pichlmann, aged 45, pleaded guilty to charges of possessing a bladed article in a public place, assault by beating and breaching a restraining order when he appeared at Dorchester Crown Court.

The offences related to an incident in Chewton Common Road, close to Highcliffe St Mark School on Tuesday, October 6.

Police were called after a man suffered a neck injury, which was reported to have been self-inflicted, and was treated for non life threatening injuries at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

The defendant, of no fixed abode, also admitted a further charge of breaching a restraining order on October 1.

Following Pichlmann’s guilty pleas, the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and a psychiatric report to be prepared.

He will return to court to be sentenced on December 18.

Judge Jonathan Fuller told the defendant: “I’m not giving any indication what the ultimate outcome will be.

“This is a serious incident and all options are open.”
