Three days of roadworks on a busy Christchurch road have come to an end this evening.
Bournemouth Water had been carrying out work to install a water main on Stony Lane, which leads from Christchurch to the Avon Causeway.
The work started on Wednesday and on Friday evening, Dorset County Council said via their Travel Dorset Twitter account that Bournemouth Water had completed their work on time.
Temporary traffic lights, which had been in operation 24 hours a day, were removed by 5pm.
Sharnine Coleman, head of communications at Bournemouth Water described the work as "essential".
"These works relate to the installation of a new water connection, which we are required by legislation to complete within 21 calendar days of request – they are therefore essential works.
