MYSTERY surrounds the sudden closure of a Christchurch pre-school.
Gundimore Pre-School, in Stanpit, closed on Thursday May 7 for unspecified reasons.
Ofsted has confirmed the closure was not down to them but said the pre-school had closed voluntarily.
Dorset County Council (DCC) has confirmed it was informed about the pre-school's decision to close but did not know when or if it would re-open.
The manager of the pre-school told the Echo no staff were able to comment.
A spokesperson for Ofsted said: "We're aware that it has closed but it is of its own volition. It's not anything that is to do with Ofsted."
A DCC spokesperson said on Friday: "It's a privately-run nursery and was shut yesterday for a private reason within the nursery.
"We haven't been told when or if it's going to re-open."
