ROADS around Christchurch were gridlocked this morning due to a crash and roadworks.
A two-vehicle collision on the Christchurch bypass caused major delays while the High Street is closed for the Monday market and Castle Street remains closed due to roadworks.
One eyewitness described the town centre as “chaos” saying the situation was “madness”.
The crash took place on the Christchurch bypass just before the Stony Lane roundabout coming from the Fountain roundabout direction.
The crash is now cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
