THERE are delays through Christchurch after a two-car collision on the Fountain roundabout.
The crash took place just after midday on the approach from the Christchurch bypass from Stony Lane roundabout.
A Volkswagen Beetle ended up partially on the island, while a white Renault Laguna came to a halt in the middle of the carriageway.
Both were damaged in the collision.
Sergeant Tim Ward from Christchurch police said the female driver of the VW Beetle suffered minor whiplash-type injuries as a result.
Both vehicles had to be recovered.
Traffic was backed up on the bypass to Somerford, while other routes through the town centre were also grid-locked.
Any witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3230:23.
