A MAN was cut free from his car after a collision with a tonne bag of shingle.
The single-vehicle collision took place on Walkford Road near Highcliffe just before 8.50am.
The road was closed at the junction of Chewton Farm Road and the Walkford pub.
Fire and ambulance are also on the scene.
The car appears to have come to rest in front of a wall of a property, with the shingle spread along the pavement.
A crew from Hampshire Fire service cut the man free from the vehicle, a silver Renault Clio.
A spokesperson for South West Ambulance service said they were called to the scene at 9.10am.
A 30-year-old man was taken to Poole General Hospital suffering with neck, chest and back injuries, the spokesperson said.
He was stable at the scene, he added.
