Too nervous to speak in public? The members of local public speaking club Cottonwood have come up with a solution – and for one lucky person that solution will be free.
The Bournemouth club, affiliated to Toastmasters International, gives its members the chance to practice public speaking on a range of subjects in a friendly environment.
The club is offering one year’s free membership to someone who works for a charity or caring organisation.
The chosen applicant will get 12 months membership and the help and support of the club’s 40-odd members. Interested? Email yes@cottonwoodspeakers.org with your details, why you’d like to join, and a telephone number.
And if you’re not sure what you might be letting yourself in for, why not arrange to attend one of the fortnightly meetings as a guest – that’s free too. The next meeting is Wednesday, February 10, details at cottonwoodspeakers.org
