KATIE Price was “devastated” she couldn’t make her book signing in Bournemouth on Saturday but will definitely be making an appearance this weekend, according to her publicist.

Hundreds of fans were left disappointed when the former glamour model cancelled the signing at Castlepoint’s WH Smith where she would have been promoting her new book, Sapphire.

Katie, also known as ‘Jordan’, had to cancel last minute due to a ‘dental emergency’ after one of her front veneers came off while chewing a piece of gum.

Christopher Manlow of Ocean Dental Care in Bournemouth treated Katie in an emergency appointment and he is likely to appear on her reality TV show as the camera crew followed her in.

Mr Manlow, who fixed the veneer, said her face was swollen and sloppy due to the “large dose” of local anaesthetic administered and her lips couldn’t move on one side of her face.

He said she seemed genuinely concerned and disappointed that she missed the book signing, adding: “She was lovely, very polite and thankful that I could help her – she was a pleasure to treat and nothing like a prima donna.”

Katie was spotted yesterday morning at Heathrow airport jetting off to Spain with her cage-fighting new boyfriend.

But her publicist Diana Colbert assured it was a planned trip that was just for a couple of days and she would certainly be back in time for Saturday.

She said they were both “gutted” she couldn’t make it but the signing would go ahead next Saturday at the same place and time of 11am.

She said: “Katie was devastated that she had to cancel and cannot wait to get back and do it – she loves the book signings.

“We knew there were hundreds of people waiting but she just wasn’t up for it. Someone like her cannot appear with a missing tooth.”

She added that Katie had been suffering from a cold and was feeling generally rundown, but claims of her having swine flu as reported this week are “nonsense” and “completely untrue”.
