A MAN has appeared in court after an alleged stabbing at a Bournemouth hotel.
Adam Jon, 19, was charged with committing grievous bodily harm with intent after an incident at the Hallmark Hotel Bournemouth Carlton on the East Cliff on the afternoon of Sunday, May 20.
He has also been charged with assaulting the same complainant, Salina Heera, by beating her on Friday, May 18.
Jon, who gave his address as Portman Road in Manchester, did not enter pleas to the charges against him when he appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court this week.
He was ordered to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing in June and is on conditional bail.
Police were called to the hotel at around 1.15pm after a woman suffered injuries to her abdomen.
She was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. Detectives say her condition is serious but not life-threatening.
