A CIRCUS freak show featuring fire acts, contortionists and drag artists, is set to open its doors in Bournemouth town centre next month.
Organisers of The Boudoir Circus Of Wonders, say they are excited to bring something that will be, “a breath of fresh air to Bournemouth”.
The Boudoir Circus launches at Le Chic in Old Christchurch Road on Wednesday, March 7. Each week will offer something different from a variety of circus and sideshow performers and DJs.
Resident act Ryan Darling, who worked at Cirque Le Soir in Dubai, literally likes to play with fire. His act involves body burning, fire breathing, fire spinning and fans.
“I am so excited and proud to be part of this amazing night and I can’t wait for Bournemouth to see what an amazing thing we have created just for them.
“The guys (the founders) have done a fantastic job coaching us all and we are like one big family.”
The idea was the brainchild of Gio and Jason Sullovan, who have both been involved in the entertainment sector involving events management and performing within clubs around the UK.
In a statement for the Echo they said: “We chose Le Chic as a venue for our creation, because unlike other Bournemouth venues, they are willing to work with us to cross the boundaries of what nightlife is and to break the barrier of mainstream.
“We wanted to bring something to Bournemouth that people have never seen before; a luxury nightlife experience within a circus freak show, its something original and unique.”
The Boudoir Circus will be open every Wednesday at Le Chic from March 7 from 9pm to 4am.
