BOURNEMOUTH residents are being reminded that real Christmas trees won't be collected from the kerbside this year.
People who buy a real tree will need to take it to Millhams Community Recycling Centre or Wilverley Road, Christchurch, where the trees will be composted.
Bournemouth council is asking residents to bear this in mind when buying a real Christmas tree.
The decision to axe Bournemouth's Christmas tree collection was made in December last year.
Local charity Diverse Abilities will once again be collecting trees from households for a minimum donation of £5.
They will be collecting trees from Blandford, Bournemouth, Poole, Broadstone, Wimborne, Ferndown, Christchurch, Verwood and Charlton Marshall.
Collections will take place on Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7.
Bookings need be made before 11.59pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
