1. The Coca-Cola truck rolls into town on Thursday and Friday and will be in The Triangle between 11am and 7pm.

2. The Castlepoint Christmas lights switch-on takes place at 5.30pm on Friday with live music and appearances from the cast of the Bournemouth panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, including pop star Rachel Stevens. From 1pm to 5pm, there will also be a free lantern making workshop.

3. Santa’s Christmas Grotto & Magical Light Garden starts at Upton House & Upton Country Park on from Friday and runs until December 26.

4. Watch Southbourne’s Christmas Lights get switched on from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on Saturday. There will also be a raffle, some carols and refreshments to keep you warm.

5. The Christchurch Christmas Festival kicks off from 10am on Saturday and includes a visit from Santa late afternoon.

6. Your Beautiful singer James Blunt is at the BIC and Future Islands perform at the O2 Academy on Saturday night.

7. Runners will be donning their antlers for the Moors Valley Reindeer Run on Sunday at 10am - a 10k and 5k run to raise money for the RNLI.

8. The third Metropole Market takes place on Sunday from 10am and 4pm in Holdenhurst Road at Lansdowne. This month’s event is being billed as an Alternative Christmas Fayre.

9. Wish Upon A Star featuring around 280 young dancers from local dance schools kicks off at the Pavilion with two performances at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Sunday.

10. Bananarama, the girl group that defined the ‘80s are back to their original, record-breaking line up for a tour that visits the BIC on Sunday. This will be the only time they tour in the original line up.
