A WOMAN in her 60s had £20,000 stolen from her bank account by fraudsters claiming to be from BT.
Dorset Police confirmed they received a call from the victim, a woman from Ferndown, at 3.20pm on Monday November 13.
She told them she had been waiting for a call from BT and received a call from a person who claimed to be from the company.
The caller gained access to her online banking details and stole the cash from her account.
Inquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
A police spokesman said officers have visited the victim to provide advice and support.
