A CHALET bungalow could be demolished and replaced with eight flats in Boscombe.

Plans to knock down 24 Percy Road and build the self-contained flats have been submitted by Holton Homes to Bournemouth Borough Council.

According to the design and access statement: “The proposed development will appear as a two-storey villa with additional habitable accommodation contained within the roof space.

“The position of the proposed building on the site will accord with the alignment of neighbouring buildings fronting Percy Road and Glen Road.”

“Parking for the occupiers shall be laid to the frontage of the site off Percy Road and to the side of the site off Glen Road.”

The proposed flats would utilise the existing vehicular access off Glen Road to the rear, but there will be the creation of a new vehicular access off Percy Road with the closure of the existing one.

The plans include eight car parking spaces and cycle storage.

It concludes: “As the proposal complies with the Development Plan and there are no material considerations which indicate that it should be determined otherwise, the proposal ought to be approved.”
