BRAVE AFC Bournemouth fans enjoyed their special evening as mascots for the Premier League clash with Brighton on Friday.

The match at Vitality Stadium, which was broadcast live on TV, will live long in the memory for the young Cherries supporters.

Jacob Buckett, four, Felix Brown, 11, Mason White, eight and Ethan Burney, eight, walked out on the pitch with the players at the start of the match.

Mason's mum Kerry, said: "Before he went out Mason was nervous, but since Friday it's all he's been talking about.

"Everyone at the club was so welcoming.

"Steve Fletcher came up to Mason and made sure he got to meet all the players before he walked out with Joshua King.

"Callum Wilson is his favourite player and he spotted Mason and stopped to ask him how he was going which was so nice.

"Mason said to us that it was the best day of his life."

Dan Hall, 29, who is battling an aggressive form of leukaemia, accompanied the boys as 12th man thanks to a kind-hearted anonymous group who arranged the experience with the football club.

Jacob's mum Amanda, said: "He found it amazing and I was in tears.

"You couldn't get a more welcoming group of people at the club and everything they do for the kids is incredible.

"His most memorable moment was when Marc Pugh picked him up and made him feel part of it"

Felix celebrated a double win as the football team he plays for also won by a 2-1 scoreline on Sunday morning.

Felix's mum Kerry, said: "We're so proud of Felix. It was such a great moment for all the boys.

"Everyone at the club is so supportive - it has such a great community feel."

The parents all thanked supporters, the club, and the anonymous group that made the mascot experience possible for the boys.
