CHANGES have been made to some Morebus services around the area.

The bus company has introduced a new winter timetable which comes into effect today.

Changes include the reversal of the number 10 service which runs between Poole and Lytchett Matravers.

Buses will now enter Lytchett Matravers via Wareham Road and leave via Wimborne Road following requests to reinstate the service to the opposite side of the road due to better waiting facilities.

The X1 introduces a new earlier route between Lymington and Bournemouth Monday to Friday while the final bus of the day from Lymington to Christchurch, which runs Monday to Saturday, now extends to Bournemouth.

The X6 Poole to Bournemouth service has seen timings extended to “better allow for traffic delays and congestion”.

The M1 and M2 service sees a revised evening timetable Monday to Saturday, while the 38 service which runs between Ringwood and Ferndown has seen a reduced timetable due to a cut in council funding.

As previously reported in the Daily Echo, the 38 bus, which travels from Ferndown through Heatherlands estate and Ashley Heath, before arriving at Ringwood School, will no longer be running.

The Breezer 30 to Lulworth and Weymouth has now finished its seasonal service while the Breezer 40, 50 and 60 services are now running on a revised timetable.

The Durlston Explorer 5 will finish its seasonal service on Saturday, September 23.

While the new U5 route will take students and staff from Talbot Campus to the newly created Home Park accommodation block in Lansdowne.
