HAS Eddie Howe been given the Freedom of Bournemouth?
If not, surely there is nobody more deserving.
If it doesn't exist, that can be fixed: Frome introduced it just a few years ago so that they could give it to Jenson Button.
Of course it would be necessary to attach some entitlements to the honour, and perhaps you could run a competition and choose the best?
For example, holders of the Freedom of Berwick-on-Tweed are allowed to drive their sheep down the main street and graze their goat on the common, or something similar.
I'm technically entitled to it, but it costs £5 and it's not a lot of use to me as I live on the West Cliff and don't own any livestock.
I'm sure your readers can do better for Eddie. How about it?
